With two brand new loudspeaker ranges making their US debuts, as well as a selection of the updated TCS series and the established, market-leading Aspect® and NuQ series loudspeakers showing their paces, InfoComm08 proved to be one of Turbosound’s most successful trade shows ever.
Taking place in Las Vegas in mid-June, InfoComm featured the American debut of Flex Array, which uniquely combines elements of line array theory and virtual point source technology in one product. It certainly generated enormous interest on both the company's stand and in a continually-busy demo room.
"The InfoComm show was a great success," says Brad Stephens, national sales manager for Turbosound products at US distributor American Music and Sound. "We had several new product releases featured in our demo room, with Flex Array being the centrepiece to it all. Chatter about the Flex Array spread around the show quickly and all of our demos were packed."
A remarkably versatile, one-box-fits-all product, Flex Array is ideal for a huge variety of live and installed applications. This means that rental companies can reduce the amount of inventory they hold, as they can now stock one product where previously several may have been required.
The other major release on show was the new Impact series, which caters for the style-led areas of the fixed install market and is particularly suited to locations where a key requirement is unobtrusive appearance of the cabinets. Featuring elegantly styled, paintable, injection moulded enclosures with IP54 weather resistance, the range takes Turbosound's existing Impact series to a new level of sophistication.
In addition, samples of Turbosound's new TCS sound contracting range were on show. The range features patent-pending Dendritic waveguides in multiple dispersion options, IP54 weather resistance, choice of white or black finish and self-powered options.
"We have worked very closely with the market to ensure our product range evolves with its needs," says Turbosound Managing Director Simon Blackwood. "The response to all our products was extremely positive and we were especially pleased with the reaction to the new ranges. It was undoubtedly the best InfoComm we've ever had."
