NuQ-15 Architect's and Engineer's Specifications
The system shall be of the full range, two-way switchable active/passive type consisting of one 15" (381mm) low frequency loudspeaker and one 1.4" (35mm) high frequency driver on a Converging Elliptical Waveguide™. Performance specifications of a typical production unit shall meet or exceed the following: frequency response, measured with swept sine wave input, shall be flat within ±4dB from 68Hz to 20kHz. Nominal dispersion, at -6dB points, shall average 80 degrees horizontal x 50 degrees vertical. Nominal impdedance shall be 8 ohms. Power handling shall be passive: 600 watts continuous, 1200 watts program; active LF: 500 watts continuous, 1000 watts program, HF: 100 watts continuous, 200 watts program. Sensitivity, measured with 1 watt input at 1 metre distance on axis, mean averaged over stated bandwidth, shall be 100dB. Maximum SPL (peak) measured with music program at stated amplifier input shall be 135dB. Dimensions: 712mmH x 430mmW x 385mmD (28"H x 16.9"W x 15.2"D). Weight: 26kg (57.2lbs). The loudspeaker system shall be the Turbosound NuQ-15. No other loudspeaker shall be acceptable unless submitted data from an independent test laboratory verify that the above combined performance / size specifications are equalled or exceeded.
